A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
I thought I would bring this topic back up again, seeing the tide this weekend is gonna be an early outgoing tide and I like to fish an incoming tide in the spring.
Anyone have any advice/favorites on rising/falling tide for shallow water spring trout?
When the tide is incoming and or high I fish shallower water, but if its low and outgoing I usually don't do very well.
Or maybe when you all read this you will see I don't know what the heck I am doing and I just just rely on pure luck
JF ...just when I think I have the tides figured out and have decided incoming is my favorite, I go fishing and tear them up on the outgoing.
I read all the time about which tide is someones favorite and why, but I personally can't establish a pattern. Or when I think I have a pattern it changes as the moon changes or as the season changes.
I like to fish both tides. I figure if I get there at daylight and don't leave until dark I'll find feeding fish sometime during the day.
