First Sheephead in a kayak

Post by jsuber »

After leaving the house at 4:00 am this morning, driving to Keaton Beach, getting the butt wet at 06:40 paddling and fishing til 14:30, catching 25 shorts, 20 keeper size trout, going to the weighin and winning a brand new pair of Coastal Del Mars in the raffle afterwards, and then driving back to the Tnt Hideaway that I got to at 17:30. I went sheephead fishing with Talltails. He was coming in to show us the Redfish he caught, and he had 6 fiddler crabs left, and had caught 4 nice big sheephead and one Redfish. We went back out and he showed me what to do and I yanked up a big old sheephead with a fiddler crab and a DOA 1/8 jighead. What a hell of a fight. Talltails picked up one more sheepy, and two more 26 inch redfish before it got dark at 19:00. What a day.

Those other guys had some really nice trout. Great job fellars.
