Anky Fishers - Warning

Post by Dubble Trubble »

Mark this on your GPS

3.3 miles due SW of the Econfina marker.

Bird rack ruins - JUST submerged at 2.5 ft tide.

29 59.965'
83 57.952'

This thing can do some SERIOUS damage. Luckily, I happened up on it at 2 ft tide about 6" above water coming back in from grouper hole. 3 Large Posts and attached timbers.

I also meant to add they have 3 new bird racks up between Rock Island and Econfina.

I saw those last time I was down there. Asked Bobby (at the store) why they weren't marked. He said they move around. :o Maybe they have settled at your location. Thanks.

If they ain't attached to the bottom, I doubt that they'll stay put very long. We need to continue to monitor that sort of nav obstacle. Thanks DT

if some of you guys are down there this week or next, try and remember to take some milk jugs or something and tie to the racks with some extra rope. if not, i will try to put one on there next weekend when i am down.

I agree with the remarks about safety and I agree that the i/o is a lot risky. I cant help but wonder how deep is it around that rack? Sounds like a helk of a cobe hangout!!! oh and DT , thanks for the numbers, Ya'll never seen bad behavior from a BAD BEHAVIOR like it would be if I got some of that rack with my boat!!!
