After spending way to much time in Germany, time on the water was past due. I launched the Ghostrider into the more or less slick bay this morning, looking to accost some fish.

I spied a promising area as I flew into Panama City the other day, I was gonna try that spot this morning, but wouldn't you know it two boats were in the area, so I went to one of my other spots.

I threw topwater for awhile with only one small strike. I let the wind blow me down the bank, as I arrived to one of the sweet spots, I could see the humps chasing bait :smt007 . I get close and fire the piece of flat metal with a hook ahead of the crowd, two turns on the handle and the familiar thump. I set the hook and started looking for the net, in the hatch  . The fish comes off, I start reeling again and thump, thump again...I set the hook and fight a nice 28" red to the boat.

I had power poled down with the trolling motor...I took my time and let the school settle down, they were still in casting distance. I tried everything, they wouldn't bite no more, probably 50-60 fish in the school. I was beside myself, wishing I had a cast net :o

Ended up traveling 35 miles and only managed 10 or so trout to 18", saw several nice trout.

Caught fish, saw alot of fish, took a saltwater shower, nothing broke, can't wait til next time.
