Deep Creek

Can you get to Deep Creek with a 4x4 truck? Or do you have to bike there?

I'm almost certain you need to hike or bike. Last winter I hiked and then waded back through deep creek and Horn's creek a few times, and we did fairly well. Then one day I noticed all the gators...didnt' have any of those where I moved from.

I haven't been back since. :-?

I am pretty sure that deep creek runs through part of the refuge. I could be wrong though and it might be put of Flintrock

Those refuge roads are blocked off with chains and vehicles are not allowed unless you are one of their rangers. Be ready to hike/bike 4+ miles! The last time I did it, I had to stomp my feet to get past 29 rather large gators to move off the dike so I could pass.
