Is it a beach you can walk and cast or do you need to Wade fish?

When you get to Wakulla Beach you can wade there if you want. You can also walk across the grass
and fish from the oyster bars depending on tide. The reason the fishing is so good there is because there are so
many oyster bars and a few rocks here and there. Also if you hit up the creeks they have some pretty good holes that
you can fish into

Don't let the word Beach in wakulla beach fool you. There is a little bit of sand in the parking area at the end of the road where it meets the water. The area is a large grass marsh at the back of a shallow tidal bay, so bring plenty of bug spray. There is a 1/4 mile trail through the grass that you can walk to the mouth of west goose creek. If the tide is low, you can walk the oyster bars out to a couple of channels that hold trout and reds. Certain times of the year the fishing can be very good here. In my experience the best way to fish this area is from a kayak.
