I'm with you RC. TK, Chalk, others, what do you think is a good explanation? Is this freakish or not that uncommon to see cobia this early?

It's way early and I wouldn't imagine Cobia before late March, at least.
Lanark does increase the odds but I don't have an answer. That's why I started the "observations" post in fishing.
It will be interesting to see what others have noticed.

As a science teacher (earth/space currently) the question is almost too much for me too avoid.
But this is the fish place and I will not tread.
