I sort of answered him. After I could not take any more I got on the radio and said "GLENN IF YOU ARE HERE PLEASE ANSWER THIS GUY'. We never heard from Glenn,but about 10 other people got on the radio and gave me a thumbs up. I know Glenn. He hasn't heard thunder since his wife whacked him with a frying pan back in the early 70s!

We almost always do a radio check on channel 16. Doesn't hurt. We also keep the radio on and listen. We have headed out with a "person missing in water in the rock garden" to help search, but they found him/her. We at least heard the call and were in the vicinity so headed in that directed to help. One never knows if that extra boat will divert a tragedy into a happy ending Most of the time, nothing comes across the radio, but you never know who might need assistance and you are nearby to lend a hand.
