SO I COULDN'T WAIT

Put the Spiderwire mono on it and throwed it a few times. Very smooth reeling in and cast very smooth also, only problem found so far is that the bail will not flip back without a little fiddleing with it

hopeflly that will work out of it

DB, did ya get yours in and how does the bail work on it?

wevans, Wells Fargo came and brought the 6000 this evening.
Your right - we'll be the prettiest guys out there and it came with a spool of wonderline "Super Fish" 18lb. - "strong and supple". Don't know any difference in line so I'll give it a try till I get rich..?
A MH rod is at the top of the buy list now that the reel has come. The bail is a little stiff but not surprisingly so.

I put mine on a 6 foot Medium action that I had at the house

and was very surprised at the "fairly good" accuracy I had with it

I will get a MH 6'6" or 7 footer once I am sure that I will like it

anyone got some sugestions on a decent spinning rod for less than $50

Go by Advantage and look at the "Marsh Master" rods. I got a 7 foot baitcaster and like it a lot.

Wevans, I did not order one. I am waiting for the "wet trial" results from the Sopchoppy Regional Consumer Reports (SRCP) field reporter. Seems like a lot of bails are stiff at first. Glad you got it so quick. Let us know.

Have you had a chance to wet test your reel yet? Has the stiff bail worked itself out? If you give a good report I am going to order one.

I'm pretty much a newbie when it comes to Spinners, but I can't complain about the way it operates or cast

the bail is working fine now

I just need ta catch a fish with it ta make the test complete

I got mine in a few days ago, but haven't gotten to fish it either. It appears to be a nice reel for the money, but there's one or two things that concern me. I don't like the plastic handle nut, and I don't like the way the drag adjustment knob screws onto the spool shaft. These are just personal preferences of mine. Hopefully I'll be able to get out soon and try it out.

You folks that ordered these red dots, look on the bottom of the box and see if says where they are made. Just saw on a Louisiana forum that the box said made in china.
