Out of our last three trips what put the first red in the boat, spoon man...

I believe the last trip was Birddog= 1 red on topwater and 3 on the spoon. Chalk= waving from the stands. :wink: :D

I'm a firm believe that a lot of people fish spoons too fast. Reds like a lure that moves fairly slowly. I pretty much never fish spoons, but I do fish spinnerbaits and buzzbaits for them. When buying spinnerbaits or buzzbaits for redfish I buy the lightest ones with the largest blades I can find. It's pretty much like slow rolling spinners for bass, only slower. Jigs are always my go to lure. I don't go fishing without a jig on at least one rod.
