I bet you did. I got a 2 yr. old colt I'm trying now. You should have seen him break in half when he felt the spur for the 1st time today. I stayed on him though.

My wife has a Thoroughbred I would like you to try,17 1/2 hands.
He only knows 1 speed.

17 hands is a little tall.

I usually split my britches 2 or 3 times a year getting on my 16 hand walking horse.
