We had a frigate grab a CT a couple weeks ago. He left the pinfish alone and had the cork in his grasp.

While fishing sisters creek in Jacksonville, Fl for reds i caught the elusive boot fish. I had heard about this species hard fight, and unwillingness to release from the muddy creek bottom, but after a few hard pumps of the rod i reeled in a nice leather work boot!!!

Hey bman...ditto on the sheephead story. Caught a huge sheephead on a cricket years ago on a cricket way up in the Aucilla near the bridge :o Caught a big red that way too.

What about the big tuna caught a few years back over in Panama City off a canepole and a cricket during Hurricanne Opal. Still wondering about that one but they got it out front of the pier on display

Also, caught a buzz the other night/morning on the St. Marks River  Those are really fun to catch when there isnt much else biting

I've posted this on here before, but in 2 consecutive summers, I caught a 4 foot (estimated) Tarpon and a 3+ foot "Hound Fish." I didn't have the tarpon but for about 5 seconds, but it jumped twice before it got off. Look up "hound fish pics" on google to see what that crazy joker looks like.

In 20 years of fishing at Keaton, I've never seen either of those fish caught. In fact, I've never laid eyes on a hound fish in my life.

I was fishing by myself a couple of weeks ago and caught a ladyfish with a YoZuri Crystal Minnow. When I was removing the treble, the fish went nuts and I hooked my index finger....in one part of the finger and out another (about a centimeter away from the entry). One treble in fish, the other in me.

I couldn't cut the barb off by myself, so I had to motor over and ask for help from another boat that had three guys fishing on board....with red and white Crystal Minnow dangling from my finger as I waved them down. 8)
