Bush sent troops anyway. Driving oil to 140 a barrel, and increasing the debt from 5 trillion to 11 trillion, which fueled inflation making he hard for Americans to pay there bills, much less buy anything else which has caused unempoyment to go up. Heck what more proof do you need. But, Richy these guys will go back 8 years and blame Clinton who under his leadership we had full employment and three years of budget supluses, but got impeached for lying about getting his hob nobed, or what ever. The main thing none of this maters right not weather I am right, or Mudducker is right, it is pretty much irrelavent, we can do this all day. It is time to move forward under new leadership and find a way out of this mess. It would be better debate if we would offer solutions, and discuss its impact on the future.
The war did not cause the price of oil to go up. Global demand caused the price to go up. Go read up on China's demand for oil and commodities, then come back and we can have an informed discussion.
Bill Clinton had a Republican Congress keeping him at bay. His last couple of years, he was as useless as tits on a boar hog because he had been caught in yet another compromising position and yet another lie.
You ask about today, look at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and while you are looking, look at Barney Frank and now he protected these two (where his lover was employed by one) from the new regulations that Bush proposed.
We are not moving forward now, instead, we are getting a mega dose of moving back to the old liberal way ... socialism. Who is our leader ... would it surprise you to know that Pelosi is driving this bus. She has drafted all of this legislation with much of it an embarrassment to our new "leader". If you made much money or liked keeping the money you make, you would not like what our new leader is doing.
You want solutions, cut the crap out of taxes, give tax credits for new job hires, cut the crap out of government spending, except on necessary items, quit playing the money supply and making our money worthless with government created inflation. Need some more.
