Keaton Beach 05-21-06

Left the canal as it was breaking day and headed for a spot offshore. Well that was not to be as the wind was still blowing pretty good. Went to the first birdrack and caught abt. a dozen pinfish and tried them for a while with no luck. Abt. 10:30 I decided to try to get to my offshore hole. Conditions were still not ideal but I was able to ease out. When I got to 16 miles the Yamaha 225 4-stroke decided it would let go of something. Whatever happened was definitely catastrophic. Fortunately, there was a nice gentleman close by. Many thanks to Mr. Willie on the Hard Times. Got back to the dock abt. 4 hours later. It sure was a beautiful day. I wish I could have fished. Took the boat to the shop this am and hope to hear something soon. It is a new motor so I'm sure Yamaha will stand behind their product.

That stinks. I am sure Yamaha will fix it right. I am planning a trip out of Keaton tomorrow. The wind is suppose to be laid down.
