Questions about the Panacea / Bald point area

Post by woowoo »

Well in less than two weeks I will be coming down from Louisville for a little visit.
I am looking for some local info.
Could some of you provide your opinion on the following
(In the Panacera-Bald point area)

1. A good bait shop.
2. A good place to have breakfast.
4. A good place to have dinner.
4. A seafood processor.
5. A good Grocery store.
6. A good honey hole on alligator point for a shore bound Yankee. :)

Thanks a bunch guys

Kevin

Thanks.

I can help a little:

1) Crums mini-mall or Mashes Sands BP station on left before crossing the river.

2)Coastal (next to Crums)

3) Coastal, Posey's, Harbor House, and a short drive to Spring Creek Resturant.

4) Processor? "My Way" sells fresh seafood and is in Panacea.

5) Grocery store in Crawfordville

6) never shore fished from Alligator Point

Hay woowoo,

What GC said...ditto.
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

Thanks guys,
By Processor I mean someone who sells and cleans fresh seafood.
My 6yo daughter will go through tons of shrimp.

3) Harbor House  and Spring Creek is worth the drive   :lick:
6) if you wade, Bald Point is good for trout and reds. There are lots of oyster bars close.
Have you thought of renting a boat or hiring a guide one day while you are down? Might be a good time for your daughter 8) .

Good luck

One of the members on this board has agreed to take me out on the flats for a day.
I'm afraid that if we rent a boat it will turn into a picnic. :)
But we may rent one anyway.

The house that we are renting is about two miles past mission by the sea.
Near Grouper st.
I'm going to try the surf around that area.
