Panacea 6/24

Post by Eerman »

My 16 year old niece is down for a visit this week. She hasn't had much fishing experience but requested a boat trip. Being the nice guy that I am, I agreed. Also took my daughter (1.5 years) on her first boat ride. With the above company, getting there early wasn't much of an option. In the heat of the day, the niece managed a trout, a catfish, and a pinfish...all firsts for her. I believe maybe her first saltwater fish. I managed 4 trout between the bait setup, the casting instructions, and the daughter chasing. Managed to quick release a 22 or 23" at the boat while trying to make a graceful decent from the poling platform. Saw two NICE tarpon but couldn't get them to cooperate. Exciting anyway. I'll post a few pictures later. I'm pooped.

Good catch, considering you had to do all the guiding.

It's always nice to share our love of the water with the ones we love.

RodBow, Mama was there as well; but, didn't get in on the fishing action much. Here's a few pics.
I'm not sure if she's boating or skiing; but, she's ready:
