My biggest Grouper, Big Bend Classi c

Post by redhead201 »

Who of yall fished in the big bend saltwater classic. I fished in it last year. this year we went out on the nite before the tournament started thurs day. (fathers Day Weekend). We wanted to get a head start out there. We went out to SM1. Which is what about 45 miles out there. WE got there around 7:00 pm. It was a little rough. While there we caught around 10 snapper. After dinner We ran out father about 30 miles farther. We got there at about 2:00am. We caught a bunch of mangroves. After that we started running again at a slow speed. We wnet 85 miles off shore. once we started fishin we caught a few snapper. A few Grouper. Then we stared trolling again workin our way back. OH and it as smooth as glass where we were. we picked a penut dolphin, and a bonita. At the spot we cut the bonita and dropped it down. I caught my first amber jack on it. ANd i dropped a nother piece down and i caught a 12.25 pound Grouper. My biggest. We didn't catch any other fish worth metioning except for a 8 pound red snapper. We caught all those thanks to Kamen Miller. He is the owner of Pressure Drop. His Boat. He does fishing and diving charters. Here is his website http://www.scubadivecharters.com/ .redhead201
