Lanark June 24 * now with Pixs*

Post by rx fisher »

Had the awesome opportunity to spend much of the weekend with my wife, son and Mr. & Mrs. Greenbone.
They had arranged a weekend at Lanark Village, and we were able to spend Friday night and Saturday.

Now to the fishing, we were on the water at 7 15 am and we had our 3 man limit of Redfish by 7:38. We fished just a couple of hours with the guys and caught 6 reds, only 2 just under the slot, and up to 27 inches. Soft jigs were the ticket slow on the bottom, though I switched to a top water Yozuri for the 27 incher, my personal best.

We went back the bay house to collect the family for a Saturday at Dog Island with a little fishing thrown in.

We drifted along between 13 and 9 feet, in the right depths the bite was constant, everything was biting.
Best of the day were 28 inch Cobia and a foul hooked 25 inch Mack. There were lots of blues, trout and several large Sharks up to 4 feet. The day was wonderful with family, new and old friends.

Greenbone, thanks for the invite, enjoyed meeting Sharon and Richard, the day couldn’t have been better.
Hope you did as well on Sunday.
