Triple Time - A nice surprise

Post by Saltwater4me »

The wife and I got away to do a little fishing Thusday and Friday. To my surprise, we both caught Tripletail on Thursday and we picked up one more on Friday. I hate to give a "fishing tail" but I would have my life threatened if I told you where we caught the Tripletail. Let me just say that it is amazing how many people drive right by these things. They were in 9 feet of water and very near the boat ramp. On Friday we picked up a few trout and a bonus flounder, all on live shrimp. Great outing, but hot as you could stand at mid day (Hint - That is when the tripletail fishing got good...the hotter the better). I can't wait to cook up a few. :lick:

Just a plug for the boat discussions. We used a friend of mine's Nautic Star 21 Bay. It was a very functional piece of fishing equipment, but still not quite a Sea Pro or Key West with a comparible price tag. I am still shopping........

First of all - which boat ramp?

And second, it must have been your mates purple outfit - that's the prettiest outfit I've seen since Chalk got gussied up last time!

Those are some nice fish...good deal

Nice tails.
Hey Q. My brother and I were fishing St.Joe Bay last year when we saw a life jacket floating along. We pulled in close to pick it up when we saw the triple tail underneath staying cool. I slipped the dip net in the water and caught both the TT and the jacket.
