There ain't nothing wrong with it PA......I put a hydraulic jack plate on, and a new steering cable and two new thru hulls....By far the hardest part was the thru hulls, they took a good day to get in :-?

CHALK, GLAD IT WAS NOT ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE ENGINE. JUST ABOUT ANYTHING I TRY TO DO SEEMS TO TAKE ABOUT 5 TIMES MORE TIME THAN IT SHOULD. I HAD A LITTLE 3 H.P. ENGINE A FRIEND LEFT WITH ME TO REBUILD THE CARB., I FIGURED IT WOULD TAKE ABOUT 1-2 HRS. ENDED UP TAKING NEARLY ALL DAY, AND IN THIS HEAT THAT WAS NOT FUN.

Hey Chalk, what kinda hydro foil is that on your motor? Is it the same kind as I've seen on those new sterlings? Capt. Manino had a pic of his new Sterling and he had a foil that looked kinda like that. I was looking for one that was designed specifically for tunnel hulls but couldn't find anything. I would up with a Bobs Machine shop alumimum one. It has helped the XF-20 substantially.
