Anastasia park in St Augustine fishing from yak or wading

My son and I are going to St Augustine where he will spend most of the day Tuesday/weds surfing. I am thinking about taking the yak as surfing is not my thing. My yak weighs 80lbs so I dont want to drag it too far. Short of chumming the water he is surfing in, I am curious what opportunities the park offers at this time of year. Is there a ramp or beach access. I have 4 wheel drive. Thanks for any info!!
