Throttle friction adjust?

Post by Atticus »

Okay if you take the cover off of the throttle mount which screw is it that adjusts the friction? My manual doesn't have the diagram for the console mounted throttle (Yammie).

The throttle backs out of WOT on its own requiring three hands: wheel, throttle, trim tabs/GPS... I need to tighten it down a bit.

"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".

Thanks SR. I took off the cover and was wondering which screw it was. Those threads on that board have led me to believe I have the right one in mind. I'll go to work with the screwdriver tonight.

Yes there is a throttle friction screw you can adjust. If it's a side mount control box (703), the screw is lactated on front of control box. If it's a binnacle control box (704) the screw is lactated under the plastic cover on top of box, remove cover and screw will on rear of box at bottom. Tighten screw until throttle lever stays in position.
Whats milk got to do with it ???? :o
