St. Marks River, Dec.6

Post by CSMarine »

First posting. Put in at Old Fort at daylight. River was bone dry most of the day. Wind was 20 plus knots. Water temp at the ramp was 59 degrees. Fished up river until 3:00pm. Water temp was 63 degrees. Final catch, 2 legal reds, 1 short red, 4 largemouth bass, two mangrove snapper.
fished grubs slow on the bottom. Cold, but great day on the water.

Welcome, CS. It was a tough weekend. Were you up the St. Marks or the Wakulla?
What was I supposed to do today?

I went up the St. Marks. At one time in the morning, I was all the way to Stricklands landing. Found lots of fish stacked in the deepest holes. Could not convince them to bite. Did not meet anyone all day that had a keeper fish of any kind.
