Bar, there is always a large raft of cans on the big lake. Been there every year since I can remember. The last can I shot came off of the point on the Sneads side, going back to the state park. Course, that was about 1990.

I hunt "all" of Seminole - GA, FL, Flint, Chatt, Spring Creek........... you name it. I usually check the entire lake and all tribs before the season and hunt it accordingly. I do hunt Big Jim's/Spring Creek Park - especially around lunch time - for a cheeseburger.
Last year was great for Redheads and Cans. Killed more Redheads than all the previous years combined. Also hammered the Cans in GA and FL. I've killed so many Cans that I don't target them unless it is a guide trip and the customer wants one for a trophy. We've got the layout boat set-up for Cans, Redheads, and Bluebills down to a science.
He is talking about putting a mount on the wall
Here is mine:
Its on my office wall! I shot this one with my dad in the 90's at Seminole. Right after they opened up the season for the first time in my life- we dug out my dad's old Herter's cans and painted them up- those were some huge ducks coming into the spread! One funny memory- on another trip we crippled one and he fell in the river channel. we sent through a box of steel shot chasing it. Those things can DIVE- somewhere i read that they can go down 40'. Well this one could swim too. His head would pop up and we would shoot. Then down he goes and pops up 30 yards away behind us. It took 30 plus min before we got him.
Great memory with my dad.

What are you refering to?
I guess I am a little dense this morning...which what are you asking about my reference to?
I was curious what you where referring to as Mudhole? And I ask because I've been thinking of doing some duck hunting myself.
I was afraid you were asking me that. All I will say is that there is a certain WMA that everyone talks about in North Florida. That WMA is as low right now as I've ever seen it in over 35 years.
