T-Day at Spring Creek

T, as in Trout, although it was Thanksgiving morning.
To that, yes, I am most thankful.
It's been a lot cooler this November than any I can recall in recent years.
Add in the big tides and I figured the trout would be looking for deep shelter.
Sure enough.

I found about 20 & they went from 18" to 23".

The first photo is of the towel I laid the fish on before a quick pic and release. The length of the towel is 21". I took pics of almost all the fish but, as much as I like photos of fish, when it's on I'm thinking fish, not art.

I have never seen the tide out so far that the trout are laying on the beach on towels.

Short answer, no. But I have heard they do boil occaisionally.

By the way, I was back at the house that day by 10:30 am, cooking Thanksgiving supper. I left them biting

Nice trout Litt!

We we're down 3 days for Thanksgiving and all of the springs were flowing. Not as strong as they used to be, but flowing. Water temp in Spring Creek was 65 degrees. On the flats it was upper 50's.
