A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
My buddies and I are planning our annual snook trip this spring and we are trying to decide on some dates. Our dilemma is whether we should fish the week before a new or full moon. Experience tells me new, but others say full, what say you?
I'd say full..but then again, a snook expert I'm not. I did catch one off of Jekyll once. From what I understand, it was a pretty rare occurrence for that far north. Good luck with your planning.
I read an article on snook fishing thaty claimed they see as well in dark as in daylight. In this article the guide fished for them at night on a new moon.
