Optima Batteries

Post by Ron Wilson »

I'm considering getting an Optima battery to run my trolling motor. Was wondering, for those Optima owners/users, what model you recommend: 34M, D34M, D31M?

Chalk,
Do you use them for both motors, or just the trolling motor?

Trolling only at the moment, I will convert to all Optima's when my cranking battery starts acting up

Belay my last. I'm modifying my order (minus the battery). Thanks again.

$250 for the D31M in Cabela's (does not include any shipping costs). Not sure what Advance Auto (AA) is asking, but was wondering what the cost difference between Cabela's and AA (on Optimas) after Chalk's post.

Advance would be no shipping, most stores carry them...if they don't have it, they will order it...Both Advance Autos have them in stock here in PC

Bought a pair(24v system) of the blue top deepcycle , D34M's, about three months back. So far I am impressed , especially with the life on a charge. I have yet to draw them down to the point I strart to notice any performance difference. I shopped for several weeks before buying. Best deal was Costco at $155+ $10 core.

Thats what I have I got mine at Battery Source here in Tallahassee. Forget what I paid but any online savings were quickly wiped away with shipping costs.
