Fishing Report From Steinhatchee

Had to take Christmas guest fishing 5 days in a row before Christmas, it's a heavy load but someone has to keep peace in the house. Limited out on trout every day most in the 20" range the bigest was 27". Went this morning for about 2 hours and 4 of us limited with the bigest 23", most were in the 20" range. Fish have been in 2' of water around rocks. They have'n moved into the river yet.

My secret hole had nine other boats in it when I got there but none had the secret bait. Only one guy figured out what I was using and when I left he was still catching fish........

The fish seem to be feeding on fingerling mullet, so if you "match the hatch" you will catch a lot of big fish......


Have a Happy New Year, I will wait untill the weekenders are off the water before I go back out again. :-D

Highly likely, but the GPS coord. would be nice to test the theory :-D
