Apalatchicola 12/27-28

Post by Perch Jerker »

The ole lady and I made our 3rd annual post-Christmas, w/o the kids, trip to Apalachicola on Wednesday. Got checked in at Bay City and on the water by 2:00. Went straight to the Sheepshead hole and anchored. I proceeded to give Ashley instructions on how to catch the bait stealing little boogers but before I could run through my instructions, she was already catching fish.

We sat in the same spot the rest of the afternoon, catching fish and enjoying the day. We wound up with 12 keeper sheepes. We also caught 2 small reds, 2 black drum and a barely legal trout. Caught everything on fresh dead shrimp and a #6 J hook.

We had dinner at the Owl restaurant in Apalatch that evening. It was our 1st time eating there. I'll give it a  .

O yea, I want to let everyone know how much I have enjoyed (and depend) on the reports from this forum. My resolution is to send in my sponsor money for the upcoming year. Thanks, and Happy New Years to all.
