Eerman and I launched a little after 9 this morning under overcast skies and a stiff east wind. We started in East River. Fished for a couple of hours. Nothing. By this time the sun had broken out. So we headed east to Stony. We fished well into a creek I had seen lots of fish in about 3 weeks ago. I finally spotted a red. I threw past the fish, worked the bait back, and the fish turned on it. I watched the fish peck at the bait, then turn and run. We fished back out of the creek and down Stony to Sir Reel's hole. I had what I think was a trout on for a few seconds. We watched a small trout take a swipe at Eerman's bait. No takers.

It was about 4:00 by then. So we started heading out of Stony. The east wind was no more. in fact, there was no wind.

Even though we didn't catch a fish today, we were out of the house. The company was good. And there'll be another day.
What was I supposed to do today?

I'll bet it was nice out there. The fish gods just don't let you load the boat up every time.

At least my partner kept his pants buttoned. Thanks for the trip TC, nothing like catching a sunburn in December. 8)
