Weather Question

Post by Charles »

So, if you're sitting in a wood treestand wearing a rubber suit, you're okay from lightning, right?

Think for next year I might make a treestand with a Faraday cage around it.

Charles, I would have to assume if you're sitting in a tree stand you're holding some form of long gun. If you hold the gun outside the stand and point it straight up, as high as you can reach, you'll be fine.
What was I supposed to do today?

That sounds about like the thing Lee Travino said about getting caught in a storm on the golf course, "Always carry a 1 iron in your bag. If you get caught in a storm, stand in the middle of the fairway and hold the 1 iron straight up in the air. Because not even God can hit a 1 iron."

Of course this is from a guy that's been hit twice......on a golf course. :-?

And I assume he said this before he learned to hit a 1 iron.
