WAS DOWN IN SOUTH FLA. THE WEEK BETWEEN CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEARS . THE LAKES AND PONDS, INCLUDING THE BIG ( O) WERE WORKING ALIVE WITH DUCKS, YA COULD TAKE YOUR PICK ON WHAT YA WANTED TO SHOOT, THEY WERE THICK EVERY WHERE WE WENT. DID NOT DO ANY HUNTING BUT DID CATCH MANY BASS, NOTHING BIG BUT ALL YOU COULD CARRY HOME OF SMALL ONES 1 1/2 TO 3 #
PA
I stand corrected-
How do I tell my wife I have another 20 days to hunt?
ME: "Honey, I need to apologies to you"
Her: "What for?"
ME: "You know how busy I've been and I forget to tell you things?"
Her: "Yes" (her brow furrowed)
Me: "Well Duck season actually goes through the 28th this year."
Her: ??????
Do I tell her now or wait till after my "last" two day hunt this weekend?

I would suggest you tell her turkey season starts the day after duck season
Mallards are very scarce around here- there are a few places to go....
We are really Diver Duck Country- Bluebills, Cans and most frequently Ring Necks.
Woodies are our most prevalent dabbler.
Teal and Wigeon make it into the bag with some frequency.
Malards are almost all I saw in Arkansas.
