Launched at the lighthouse this morning with a little breeze. Motored east and did some exploring in an attempt to catch all of Birddog's redfish Day was pretty slow. The wind died and the tide was nonexistent. Talked to a little birdie...birdie said move...I listened to the birdie. Glad I did.
He was just over 25" and right at 5lbs on the Boga. A personal best for me.
The next feller seemed awful small after the one above; but, he turned out to be just under 20"...a little skinny though.
Went on to catch a couple of other keepers around 16". Never did find the reds. Nice day on the water and the ride back to the ramp was as smooth as glass.
"Why does Sea World have a seafood restaurant?? I'm halfway through my fish burger and I realize, Oh man....I could be eating a slow learner."
