Trolling

Post by macten »

Wow, got a new boat, went out with some friends looking for bottom and trolling stretch 30's. Its not fair I don't think. We got 15 keepers and I got a 32" grouper our first day out. Got em all on 4 holes that we found just in 45 to 55 feet out of Carrabelle. How long do you think the bite will last before they move back out>?

Nice job! from what I've learned in the past they can be there today and gone tomorrow. Best way to know for sure is to try em again ASAP.

I looked at his website - he owns a bank!

No wonder... he must have paid somebody off for those numbers :-?

Welcome aboard macten.

A new boat? Do you have past boating/fishing experience? If not, I would chalk this up to beginners luck. Sell the boat. Quit fishing. You could spend the rest of your life trying to match the day you had.

Congratulations. Nice haul.
What was I supposed to do today?

Not new to fishing, but I have been addicted to the summer time tarpon in my 16" whaler. Not a smooth riding boat out in the seas. Not beginners luck sorry to say. I was amazed every bite can on one very bright yellow. blue, and orange. Just go 5 miles out east pass look for rocks, troll.. A ton of rocks out there. 45" of water.
