St. Marks/Wakulla Rivers?
Might get a few hours today to see if my boat still runs and I'm wondering if I should even bring a rod. Has anyone tried the rivers upstream of the Fort? Thought I might be able to get a red or trout for dinner (mango too?).
Please let me know. Thanks!

RX - Sorry I didn't reply earlier - haven't been checking in as often as I should, I guess...
I would not have been much help though, as my trip on the 20th was shortened by engine trouble. Put the old Ripple boat in the river and developed trouble immediately - rough idle, bogging at acceleration... I thought about fishing around the Fort with the trolling motor, but was so pizzed that I just loaded up and left. Hopefully just a stuck carb or something simple (cheap) - Pete and Marvin have it now.
I did, however, hear of some pretty sporty redfish action at the docks at the St. Marks Yacht Club. A friend observed a party fishing amongst the boats and docks catching a dozen or so reds in an hour or so. Sounds like they were working those docks the way the bass pro's do it. Guess I should have tried the trolling motor!
Glad to see you had a "nice day" on the water - I know how that goes too...
