Went bass fishing for a couple of hours this afternoon and yesterday afternoon. Caught 15 between 1 and 3 lbs. on an XRap and a spinnerbait. Used my new Curado 100 on the Challenger Marshmaster rod. I spooled the reel with 20 lb. Suffix braid. My last fling with braid. So far no complaints.

STREN Super Braid is best.
Try it. You'll like it.
SLURPS right off you spool.

Like Birddog I went bass fishing today again..and caught probably 15 about the same size as his..only difference, all mine was on plastics...and of all things, some old 6"inch augertails I had.. Air temp was 39-40 at the time.
Good thing cause bird hunting today was about the worst I've seen the whole season...Holding close and hard to find.

BD, we didn't find but six coveys all day. Last two times we have hunted these courses birds have been scarce..Usually the area is a good producer. looks like red tide or something hit it in past few weeks !
Course this hasn't been one of the better seasons up in this area to say the least.

I had heard the birds were off a little around Albany. They'll come back next year. Manage your cover, feed 'um, and trap your nest predators.
