Marine Manufacturing Burns

Post by DavidC »

Lots of long faces today in Douglas, GA, Marine Manufacturing burned to the ground yesterday afternoon. This is the older plant where they build the Key Largo, Cape Craft and Palm Beach, the Clearwaters are built at a newer facility nearby.

There are pics and video here, WALB TV

Thats a shame. I was over there last week and the yard was full of boats. Looked like they were cranking along.

Yeah, it's going to be tough on a lot of workers, customers and dealers....a real "no win" situation. :(

Sorry to hear about that. Those were the guys that gave me a new fuel tank when mine started leaking in my 99 Key Largo. Admittedly it took a few letters, and phone calls to accomplish, but in the end they delivered.
