I am now a LTC stationed in Afghanistan. :smt006 Originally from Madison, just wanted to let the readers know how much I appreciate reading about the outstanding trout and redfish stories. I fish the Fenholloway when I am in Madison, good fish there most of the time. It is tough to read about the great catches some of you are making but congratulations to each of you. Save me a few trout for when I come home on leave in June. I know it will be hot and scallops will be starting. Have to dodge the scallopers but that is much better than searching the rocks over here where I am. What an awakening. Got here 9 Jan with 12 inches of snow and 5 below Zero. Not much of that in Florida :smt010

Welcome aboard sir. I was once a lowly driver for a LTC in Germany. He was so proud to be a LTC when LTC Oliver North made the news. Ooy Ay.

Welcome MAJMPS4,

Glad to have you here- My Father in law has been in Baghdad for several years as a civi contractor. We get updates and stories all the time.

He says he loves and hates to see photos from home.
I get him out on the water any time he comes home.

We will save some fish for you.
Some of them here do a better job of preserving the stocks than others

Its great to hear from you and thank you for making all of this possible for us here. It's the people like yourself, in harms way, that make this the greatest country in the world. I'm sure finding a boat ride to catch'em won't be hard to find.
