This weekend @ Keaton

Post by Houndstooth »

Not the greatest trip so far. I've ben to Keaton 8 times now. Every trip is 4 days (Thursday - Sunday). I have never seen the tide this low. Trout were biting Friday, but couldn't get a keeper Sat or Sun. We wound up with 9 trout and one spanish mackrel all together. Much less than normal for us. Still had a good time though. I feel real bad for the guy who owns this NauticStar. Couldn't pick a worst place for the boat to settle. Just thought I'd share our experiance.
On a different note. I see where Jeff Suber made Pat's fishing report on http://www.keatonbeachmarina.com I was wondering if it's the jsuber thats here? He (and others) helped me out a little with some bait choices.

That was not an inviting picture. Glad you still caught some fish.

At least nobody can steal that boat :o Wish you guys would have had some better luck; but, there's worse things to be doing.
