ST. MARKS 3-23-07

Post by dolphinatic »

I had to go work at the marina, so I decided to bring the boat just in case me and the boy finished work in enough time to go fishing. As luck would have it, we got done around 2:00 PM and decided to head out to the flats. The weather was perfect and you couldn't ask for a better day to be on the water

We set a drift just south of Black Rock and started feeding the pinfish. A short time later, the spanish decided to get in on the action

After an hour or so, I finally managed a few trout using a New Penny Gulp on a 1/4 oz. jighead. When the bite slowed, I went to a red/white Catch 2000 and proceeded to show my son how you catch trout. They bit for 30 minutes or so, then nothing. I went back to the penny, and then more spanish and short trout. I somehow even managed to catch 6 or so pinfish on the new penny :o

After getting a nice sunburn, we decided to head in and get ready to go watch FSU baseball at the stadium. It was a rough day, but somebody had to do it
