A couple more shorties and then Beaze, aka "shirtless wonder" picked up a nice red.

Most all the reds we caught had blue tails. I've heard some different stories, but does anyone know exactly why they get blue sometimes?

Once the tide got low, we headed out to mess around on the flats. Lots of spanish around, got buzzed, caught off and short struck about 50 times. Finally put one in the boat.

Thought I might have the seasons first cobia......but, damn nasty remora instead.

Headed back to the grass around 4pm and started catching reds. I lost a big boy after a hard run and then Beaze hooked up to his twin in the same spot.

Last cast of the day around 5:45 I hooked into a pretty good one.

Worn out with a sore wrist after all that. Great to be on the water, sunny with a cool breeze and non existant waves until late afternoon. Cold beer and fish cleaning capped the evening.

Totals:
15-17 trout with 6 keepers
12-13 reds with 3 keepers, 1 released
1 18" spanish
