LURES AND A GOOD ROD AND BAITCASTING REEL
Can anybody give me any advise on what kind of rod and reel for both salt and fresh. Also, anybody got a good website or local to buy lures?

You wouldn't happen to be Homer Reid, the wild man from ATSU would you?
You have the best tackle store in South Georgia at your foot steps... SOUTH GEORGIA OUTDOORS, 260 4TH ST SOUTHEAST CAIRO, GA 39828 ph 229-377-4868 besure to tell them that bigbendfishing.net sent you.
And you Advantage Marine 2874 Hwy 98 Crawfordville 850.926.6020 in Florida.
You can't go wrong with Shimano or Abu Garcia...finding a rod you like is like shopping for a wife

My combo for fresh/salt fishing is the Shimano FX combo "4000FB reel and a 6'6" FX rod"
only $24.95 at Crum's mini mall
it's a little stiffer than I like for Bass fishing, but perfect on the flats "I use my fresh only rod 90% of the time for Bass fishin any way"
It's all a matter of what you want to spend as to what you will buy "I'm concentrating on paying off the house first"

I think that requires a little more explaining.. Make it in another thread so we don't derail this one.Chalk wrote:...finding a rod you like is like shopping for a wife![]()
