I got to take my Mom on her annual fly fishing for reds birthday trip on Sat. Needless to say its kinda hard to fly fish in 30 knot gusts and a steady 15 to 20. It was also COLD. We did manage several nice trout and a couple of reds in as close as we could get out of the wind these fish were all in 8" to 1'5" and on sand. I'm sure there were fish in the grass but, it was easier to see fish on the sand b/c of all the wind. Most of these fish were laid up "sleepers" and would not feed. The ones that ate did so on a soft plastic with very little weight. You guys remember the good old SLUGGO. I would bet that once this front breaks there will be a serious feed.

The Fishing has been great. No rain = clear water and awesome sight fishing. Conditions have been great for flyfishing and there are some monster trout hanging around.

I know! I know!
You know how it is though. I talked to reel slow finally and we really need to get together and plan some fishing. I also think we should try and renew the old one fly tourney out of St. Marks. I know that once you try flyfishing you will be hooked. Give me a shout.
