Dad, brother-in-law and I redeemed our kitchen passes yesterday for a day of deep water fishing. The weather was PERFECT seas where as calm as I have seen them in a long time. We ran out about 20 miles to see if the fish would participate in out beautiful day. The only thing that we could find was pink mouths. So pick up line and off to deeper water. Next spot we boated 16 groupas 11 of which were keepers and three of those were fat reds. The bite shut down so we started to look for more fish. While running we found bottom the looked promising and gave it a shot. There we caught two keeper grouper and I caught my very 1st rep snapper!! It was 23 inches and fat . After that the bite shut down and we headed back to the hill. All of the fish where caught on the bottom with live bait and cut bait. It was a great day with family catching the fish was just a little bonus.
Final total:
10 Gag’s
3 Red grouper
1 Red snapper
Box full of PMG
My snapper
Oh yeah I am thinking of changing my screen name to “THE BUSDRIVERâ€
