Panama City Kings

Post by Good Times »

Hey Guys,

My brother is comming down next weekend from Alabama. He wants to troll for Kings in Panama City. We'll be going out of the pass and I was thinking about heading east down Shell Island.

Here's what I am thinking:

Cigar minnows trolled at 7-8 MPH with a trolling weight.

Help me out.
What size weight should I use?
What size hooks?
Mono or wire leader?
What depth should I look at this time of year?

Is anyone catching them on stretch 30's?

Anyone know of a good spot in PC?

What would you do different?

There are no stupid questions right?....help a botha' out :D

I thought about the whistle bouy as well. Thanks. I've trolled before and limited out, that's been about 15 years ago though.

Mullet colored stretch 30 or any shiny silver color will work.
Wire leader for sure.
