Storm Wildeye

Post by gdaddy »

I was wondering if anyone has seen or used the new STORM WILDEYE SWIM SHAD. I was thinking these would be good to throw in the flats at St. Marks? Everyone has said to fish a grub but I am not sure which king. Are there special grubs for saltwater? A 4" curly tail is about the standard up here for bass, will that work down there?

The Storm Wild Eye will work fine on the flats. But so will 100 other grubs. There are lots of grubs out there. any of them will work. Trout will bite most anything if they're biting.
What was I supposed to do today?

Good rule of thumb. If you can catch a bass on it, you can catch a trout on it.

I have some of the 5in swim baits, have not tried them yet. They are pretty heavy baits with the internal weight, not sure how much though. They will need a big cork to keep them above the grass.

ds, tried the 4" Sardine Shad this past weekend. Tried it off and on during the day, but never had a hit on it. Lack of confidence in it kept me from using it very long at a time I guess. Thinking now I should try the Shrimp Wildeye. Didn't have a problem with the Cajun Thunder. Not sure about an equalizer.
