St. Marks 5/5 w/ my Girls!

Post by CrispyFishin »

It's been far too long since I've been out to wet a line. So yesterday I took my wife and little bit (she's 6) out to fish it up. Left Shields around 11 and went to let Little Bit swim at the bird rack. Water was up high and still coming in. Musta been the lunar high tide.

Ran East and started a drift in 6' (ended up in 4'... but it took a long time to get there). The fish were automatic. Wife boated 2 keepers and Little Bit didn't have a chance to get bored. The last fish of the day was her's... a small blue that sure felt big on her ultralight spinning gear.

Just a few fish in the boat for me, but I did get to play Captain and it was a blast :D :-D :D

2.5 hour fish count:

10 or so shorts
2 Keeper trout
1 jumping ladyfish
1 remora
1 little but fast bluefish

Most caught on c/t + gulps, and accompanied w/ Michelob @ dinner
