Is there a name for the sand bar off Piney Island??

This area is for general discussions about fishing, rigging, baits, etc.

Fished out of Panacea yesterday afternoon for the first time.
I was looking on the chart to see what else we could run to out of there and noticed this bar- anyone know what its called?
Ever fished it?

Don't know that it has a name; but, I've fished around it quite a bit. You'll find just about anything hanging around there.

I've always known it as "The long bar by the "Box.""

The "Box" being the last channel marker, lighted, to the Spring Creek Channel, and so named because the plywood on the post looks like....a box. :-D

I've been known to send a duck or two to meet it's maker around that bar during a good winter low tide. :-D :-D
