I slide the Ghostrider into the bay about 6:15 this morning...I had a plan to go hear and there for my short duration on the water. I have ran by this one spot a bunch of times, it always looks good but I never stop...I decided to stop today and was pleasantly greeted by a parade of flying mullet and waking swirls :smt007

It was kind of overcast, water had a little ripple, perfect topwater time...I caught a few short trout...Proceeded to work to some activity I had seen....See a nice wake leaving the other side of the sand hole....I fire the lure way ahead of the fish...three twitches later and it's on :-D ...First fish in the boat 26" red.

I started to throw it back, just knowing I would catch another...glad I keep it

Ended up playing with my fly rod for awhile...then I harassed some trout for awhile....moved to my goto spot...had a few blowups on topwater...birddog called and got on to me for not fly fishing..so I fly fished some more...got stuck, got out and pushed..put it on the trailer

Short and sweet...time to go take a nap 8)

 Good day fishing, C-Man...Birddog is right though, stay on the flyrod - they make us humble fishermen! 8)

Good to see you pick up the long rod Chalk. Stripping baskets, buckets, line tamers and the like make a difference. It can get frustating tending to your line with a redfish fast approaching.
