Light Friday 05/18/07

Post by Hammer »

Thought I would be the first to post today after coming in and taking a long nap. Met workmate in Hosford to try his new boat. I told him he owed me 3 trips and he was willing to make the first payment. Got on the water by 7:15 and we were both in awe over the sunrise as we headed out east. The wind was howling out of the North at hat blowing off speed. Start was slow and I had 3 trout in the boat before he even got a bite but all of a sudden he grunts and calls for the net. His net is a 12 crab net which I had been shamed to say anything about since I got on the boat. After about 5 stabs with the crab net I finally got his head in enough to throw him over the gunnel wall. Here is the big one that almost got away.

Off the water by noon but had 8 trout to 241/2 inches and one nice spanish.
